Can we get off the bus??

Like, now?
When Obama won the presidential election, there were many lofty concession speeches, well wishing, and more. I said no, then, and I say no louder now.
I’ve watched the news and read blogs asking Obama to please shut up because every time he speaks the stock market tanks and a sort of side-stepping of the probability that is exactly what he wants. He is not that dumb that he doesn’t know this happens, so please stop begging him to shut up and recognize what his goal is.
He’s driving the bus we’re on (the United States) down a road to a destination where we don’t want to go. The only ones who want to go there don’t really understand where there is. Instead of waiting for him to throw us under the bus and running over us with the wheels can’t we just get off on our own steam? If enough of us get off and block the road we can stop the trip instead of sticking around to be picked off one by one. Together we’d make a pretty big roadblock, wouldn’t you say?
Today, shortly before he gave his angry speech about business regulations, the stock market was attempting to inch upward. Had his speech been earlier in the day, we could have expected a greater slide because it started out in a slide and the longer he was silent today, the further up it inched. Just a few minutes before he stepped before the podium, the Dow was down 16 points. By the time he finished, it was down 81.
Obama and the Democratic Congress are deliberately destroying the free market and curtailing our liberties as well. It’s all down to words and actions. He says one thing, Congress says the same, then they do exactly the opposite. So, when Obama says he’s not for nationalization, look out, because that’s exactly his aim. Polite disagreement is not going to stop them. It’s time for some plain speaking and plain actions no matter who might say they’re offended.
I, for one, am tired of tiptoeing around “touchy” subjects for fear of offense. Anything is a touchy subject if it isn’t what the others want to hear which can net a racist charge or something else equally untrue. So the only choice we’re left with is silence. Silence implies consent. Trust me on this. I used to be part of the silent majority. I voted the “right way” but I never said much, or complained much, waving it off as typical political mumbo jumbo. Silence just allows more and more indignities to be heaped upon us.
I’m silent no more and I aim to misbehave

I received a great comment flaglady47 this posting at FreeRepublic so I had to add it to this posting.
I posted this a while back on FR; it fits here too:
The Obama Admin doesn’t want to pull us out of a recession. They want a deeper one, as they have a Marxist socialist agenda. The further the stock market sinks, the more it will be gov’t to the rescue. U.S. citizens’ 401k’s will be become worthless. At that point, the “gov’t” will ride in on a white horse to take over all of the pension plans, to “save” the people from desitution, particular those going into their dotage, namely the baby boomers. So, now the gov’t will have nationalized certain or maybe even at some point all banks, they will have nationalized pensions and 401k’s (or 403b’s), and as the market sinks further, they will institute their nationalized healthcare plan. Then all of us will owe our souls to the company store, as Tennessee Ernie Ford would sing. And then they will be in a position to dictate to all of us what we can think or do, because we will be at their financial mercy and dependent on them for our very health (which will actually be rationed, I might add).
I believe Obama doesn’t care whether he gets a second term or not. He is striking along with the Dems in Congress) while the iron is hot. Full steam ahead with all of his socialized takeover programs, while he has the momentum on his and the Dema Congress’s side. I don’t know what can stop him.
In two years, at least some of Obama’s stimulus package will kick in just by the sure magnitude of it, and just in time to make the starry-eyed masses believe it is working and give Obama a continued or increased Dem majority in Congress. The groverbial rotten reality of his spending program won’t manifest itself for about 3-4 years at best, so Obama will end up with the entire 4 years of his term to radically change this country to a third world socialist state, beholden for its every need to the federal gov’t. If the public finally wakes up after 4 years, they will wake up to a radically changed society, the damage will have been done, and if Obama loses in 4 years, he won’t care much, as he will have accomplished his Manchurian candidate job to change the entire structure of a free republic into a socialist society.
However, even if some of the sheeple wake up, it may not be enough. In the space of these four years, Obama will re-open the floodgates to illegal aliens from the south (he has already begun this by doing away with e-verify and by not including anything in his stimulus bill that would prevent illegal aliens from taking those new construction and building jobs that his bill claims will be created).
Obama will make sure that districts are gerrymandered by his Admin’s fraudulent use of the Census numbers next year. He will allow into this country other third-worlders on H1B visas that are a direct pathway to citizenship, who are guaranteed to one day vote Dem. The scales were bound to tip one day demographically in this country, and I believe that tip happened with this last election. There are now enough minorities when banded together with too many of the young of any race who are ignorant and cult-like in their vote, to overcome the rest of the voters in this country who aren’t fooled by the Obamessiah. The next presidential election in this country 4 years from now will tell how far gone we really are. Was Obama a fluke or a sign of things to come. Our future depends on the outcome, but it may already be too late.
