Reality check for Vice President Joe Biden

At least with Cheny, we got facts, may not have always liked what we heard but we knew it was factual. Unfortunately the exact oppisite seems to be true for Biden. How do you know when Biden is lyin, yeah you guessed it, his lips are moving.

Lyin Biden will take his place in America's history books where he rightly belongs, maybe even the Guinness book of world records for the most Gaffes made by a Candidate/Vice President Elect/Vice President.

Fred Childers KSLA recently reported the truth about Biden's response to Jindals speech post the Presidents recent address.

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - In giving the republican response to President Obama's speech Tuesday night, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal pointed out fundamental differences in how republicans and democrats see the economy.

Wednesday morning on the CBS Early Show, Vice President Joe Biden asked, "But what I don't understand from Governor Jindal is what would he do? In Louisiana, there's 400 people a day losing their jobs. What's he doing?"

But that claim is wrong if you look at the numbers from the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

"In December, Louisiana was the only state in the nation besides the District of Columbia, according to the national press release, that added employment over the month," said Patty Granier with the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

"The state gained 3,700 jobs for the seasonally adjusted employment," Granier said of the most recent figures.

Those numbers are available on Louisiana's employment website, laworks.net.

Also available on the site are the state's latest unemployment statistics, statistics that appear to directly contradict what the vice president said Wednesday morning.

The latest statistics show from the week ending January 17th, there were 4,527 claims for unemployment insurance in Louisiana. For the next week, that number dropped to 4,179. Economists credit a diverse economy for Louisiana's resilience to unemployment.

It's unclear where the vice president got his unemployment figures from.

The unemployment rate in Louisiana has gone up from 5.3 percent to 5.9 percent. Some blame that on a bigger workforce in the state, however that rate is still less than the national average of 7.2 percent.

A call to the White House on the source of Mr. Biden's information has not been returned.

Biden's long history of Gaffes my most recent favorite is the "what is that website #"? flub.
Michelle Malkin said it best recently with her "Bozo the Veep can’t remember “website number” of Recovery.gov" article

But don’t worry. He’s gonna make sure our tax dollars are all present and accounted for.

Because nobody messes with Joe.

Reason TV will have to re-cut their Biden Greatest Gaffes video and add the recovery.gov flub:

Several readers predict that Biden’s handlers will claim he’s so brilliant that he identifies websites by IP number. Joe Biden: Master of the Tubes.

Come on people I'd be willing to bet that Biden really doesn't even know what "IP" and "WWW" stand for. Pluuuuuuuueeeeze. This is the same Biden that acused McCain of not being up to date with todays Electronic age.

Back in September Slate wrote a great piece that described Biden like he was "Teflon", (my words).

When Joe Biden described an Obama ad attacking John McCain's inability to use a computer as "terrible," the world acted as if the Joe-pocalypse had finally arrived. Jonathan Martin of Politico called it "perhaps his most off-message statement yet." Newsday dubbed him "gaffe-a-minute Joe." National Review's Victor Davis Hanson said it raised "serious concern whether Biden is up to the job."
You gotta remember folks Biden ran for president 20 years ago but had to abandon his campaign when it was discovered that he had plagiarized speeches from a British politician, substituting in key details to make the story his own.

Yes this is the same "articulate" (cough, cough) Joe biden that mused about our former now Presiden, Illinois Sen. Obama:

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.” (la times)

Aww yes those were the days like the time in Delaware last summer

Biden attempted to endear himself to an Indian American supporter by telling him that in Delaware, “you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.” Not only was this an offensive line, it didn’t even make any sense: The observation, familiar to anybody who watched a comedian on cable television 15 years ago, is that Indian Americans are the only ones who work in convenience stores, not that they’re the only ones who shop there. The man can’t even keep his condescending cliches straight. (la times)

Does everyone remember all the Katie Couric interviews? Most of the publice wouldn't even remember the Biden Gaffe, because they were too busy bashing Sarah Paliin for not telling us what magazine's she looked at on a daily basis. But for those of us that like to relish in factual info rather than tabloid bravada cannot forget the Katie Couric interview where biden told us...

....that when the markets crashed in 1929, "Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.' " (FDR wasn't president then, nor did television exist.) (slate)

Awwww yes, the one thing we do have to look forward to for the next 1423 days and counting is the contiued unnoticed by the lame stream media, antics, gaffes and lies of the "lyinest" (I know not a real word, but a play on words) Vice President in America's history.
